Explore follicular unit extraction at Monaris Hair Clinic in Delhi and Indore, with guidance for patients travelling to India.

A CLEAR STARTING POINT
FUE removes follicular units individually from a donor area. The grafts are then placed into the areas being treated. It avoids a strip incision but is not scar-free.
Discuss the amount and distribution of donor hair available, alongside your current and potential future needs.
Review the proposed shape, treatment priorities and coverage. Graft count alone does not describe the whole design.
Ask how grafts are handled between extraction and implantation and how placement is planned to suit the recipient area.
BEFORE YOU DECIDE
Bring older photographs, details of previous treatment and your medical history. The assessment should explain why FUE is being considered and which alternatives may be suitable.
Ask about shaving requirements, anaesthesia, the procedure schedule and recovery. Small donor scars, temporary swelling and scabbing can occur. Surgery also carries risks including infection, bleeding and disappointing growth.
Your written plan should include aftercare, review appointments and an estimate of costs. If you are coming from another city or overseas, confirm the expected stay and when travel is appropriate for your case.
Before your appointment, use our hair transplant consultation checklist and hair transplant cost guide to prepare questions about your plan and written estimate.
FOLLICULAR UNIT EXTRACTION EXPLAINED
Follicular unit extraction (FUE) removes individual grafts from the donor area. Follicular unit transplantation (FUT) removes a strip of donor skin before the grafts are separated. Both move hair to a recipient area; the extraction method does not by itself determine the result. Compare FUT hair transplantation with the plan recommended after your assessment.
Scabbing, swelling and small donor scars can occur. Transplanted hair may shed before new growth appears, and surrounding hair can continue to thin. Follow your treating surgeon's instructions for washing, work, exercise and travel. Contact the clinic promptly about severe pain or unexpected symptoms. The NHS hair-transplant guide explains methods, recovery and surgical risks.
Ask for a written plan explaining the proposed treatment area, donor assessment, graft estimate, team responsibilities and what the price includes. Clarify the arrangements for medicines, review appointments and follow-up before deciding. Our hair transplant cost guide can help you prepare those questions; an individual quotation follows assessment.
Choose the Delhi clinic in Defence Colony or the Indore clinic in Vijay Nagar. Confirm your appointment and the treating doctor's availability before arranging travel. Bring your previous treatment history and questions about donor planning to the consultation.
HELPFUL ANSWERS
No. Individual extraction leaves small scars. Ask the surgeon to explain how they may look with your preferred hairstyle.
It does not stop existing hair from thinning. Discuss ongoing care and how the design accounts for future changes.
The appropriate number depends on donor supply, scalp findings and the agreed plan. It should be decided after assessment rather than from a standard package.
