FUE Hair Transplant Cost in India —
What You Should Actually Pay
Hair transplant pricing in India is genuinely confusing — and it is designed to be. Some clinics quote per graft prices so low they sound too good to be true. Others give vague "starting from" numbers that bear no relation to what you will actually pay. I am going to break down the real numbers honestly, explain why costs vary so dramatically, and help you understand what you should and should not be paying for a hair transplant in India in 2026.
I have performed over 3,500 hair transplants over 22 years. I have also repaired a significant number of bad transplants done elsewhere — often at very low prices. I have seen exactly what corners get cut when cost is the only priority, and the results are often permanent. So while price absolutely matters, it has to be understood in the right context.
Why Hair Transplant Cost Varies So Much in India
Before we talk numbers, it is important to understand why two clinics can quote such dramatically different prices for what sounds like the same procedure. The variation is not random — it reflects real differences in what you are getting.

A few important points about these numbers. First, the only way to get an accurate quote is after a physical assessment of your donor area. Donor density varies enormously between patients — someone with a thick donor area can achieve more coverage from the same number of grafts than someone with a thin donor area. No honest clinic will quote you a fixed price without examining you first.
Second, these prices assume the surgeon is personally performing or directly supervising the procedure. If a clinic is quoting significantly below these ranges, ask who exactly will be operating on you.
"The cheapest hair transplant you can find in India is not a bargain. It is a risk. A risk you will be living with for the rest of your life."

What the Cost Actually Includes at Monaris
One of the most common sources of confusion is not knowing what is included in the quoted price. At Monaris, the price we quote covers everything required for the procedure. There are no surprise charges on the day.
- Pre-procedure blood tests and medical assessment
- Local anaesthesia for the full procedure
- All extraction and implantation by Dr. Arihant Surana personally
- FDA-approved punch tools and implanter pens
- Graft preservation solution throughout the procedure
- Post-procedure medication — antibiotics, anti-inflammatories
- Detailed written aftercare instructions
- Review appointment at 2 weeks
- Follow-up support for the full 12-month growth period
⚠ Watch Out for Hidden Charges
Some clinics quote a low per-graft price and then add charges for anaesthesia, PRP, medications, follow-up visits and "technique upgrades" separately. Always ask for the total all-inclusive price before you agree to anything. If a clinic cannot give you a clear total, that is a red flag.
The Real Cost of a Cheap Hair Transplant
I want to spend a moment on this because it matters more than any price table. A significant part of my practice involves correcting bad hair transplants done at low-cost clinics. These corrections — called repair transplants — are among the most technically demanding procedures in hair restoration. They are also more expensive than doing it right the first time.
The most common problems I see in repair patients are unnatural hairlines that look "pluggy" or artificial, poor graft survival from bad extraction technique leaving thin or patchy results, scarring in the donor area from large punch tools or rough handling, and wasted donor hair — which is a finite resource that cannot be replaced once it is damaged.
When I see a patient who has spent ₹30,000 on a procedure that has left them with an unnatural result, I have to tell them that correction will cost significantly more than the original procedure — and that full correction is not always possible depending on how much donor hair remains.
The cheapest option is almost never the best value. In hair transplant, the best value is the procedure you only need to do once.

These are two of my patients — Harshal Patel and Ashutosh Sharma, both Indian international cricketers. Look at the photos carefully. Under full lighting, from any angle — the hair looks completely natural. That is what a well-executed hair transplant should look like. Not a visible hairline, not thin patches, not a different texture from the surrounding hair. Just hair.
Growth Factor Therapy (GFC) — Should You Add It to Your Transplant?
Many patients ask about Growth Factor Therapy — sometimes called GFC — as an add-on to their hair transplant. GFC uses concentrated growth factors derived from your own blood to stimulate the transplanted follicles, potentially improving graft survival and accelerating early growth.
At Monaris, we offer GFC as an optional addition to hair transplant procedures. The cost for GFC as a session standalone is ₹8,000 to ₹15,000 depending on the concentration. As an add-on at the time of transplant, it is priced separately and discussed at consultation.
Is it worth it? For most patients, especially those with fine or borderline donor hair, yes — the improvement in early graft survival is clinically meaningful. For patients with excellent donor density who are confident in their overall health, it is less critical. Your surgeon will give you an honest recommendation at consultation.
